Some people have a favorite band.
Others have a band that becomes part of the soundtrack of their lives.
For this customer, KISS wasn't simply music playing in the background.
It was woven into decades of memories—concerts attended, songs played a little too loud, and moments that instantly transported him back to another time.
But there was another passion that defined him just as much.
The company he built.
Zinfinity.
This ThunderLab project wasn't about choosing between those two worlds.
It was about celebrating how they became part of the same story.
Building More Than a Stage

The obvious choice would have been to recreate a concert.
Anyone can build a stage.
The challenge was creating a stage that felt personal.
The lighting trusses...
The towering speaker stacks...
The custom backdrop...
Every detail was designed to capture the energy of a live KISS performance while quietly telling another story through the Zinfinity branding woven throughout the display.
This wasn't a concert sponsored by Zinfinity.
It was a celebration of the person who loved both.
Every Member Earned Their Place

One of my favorite parts of this project was recreating each member of the band as custom minifigures.
The makeup.
The hairstyles.
The instruments.
The stage presence.
Each figure was individually designed because fans don't just recognize KISS...
They know every member by heart.
That's the difference between building something recognizable and building something meaningful.
The Details That Most People Will Never Notice

If you're only casually looking at the build, you'll probably notice the lights first.
Then the instruments.
Then the backdrop.
But look closer.
The custom drum artwork.
The individually designed guitars.
The personalized stage graphics.
Those tiny details aren't there because they make the model look better.
They're there because they're part of his story.
The Best Seat in the House

One of my favorite additions isn't on the stage at all.
It's in the audience.
Custom fans wearing personalized Zinfinity shirts are standing in the front row.
Because this wasn't meant to be a generic crowd.
It was his crowd.
The people who helped build the company.
The friends who shared the music.
The community that surrounded both.
Sometimes the audience tells as much of the story as the performers.
Passion Doesn't End at 5:00

These may be my favorite Easter eggs in the entire build.
Each custom concert shirt blends the customer's company with one of his lifelong passions.
Rock tour graphics on the back.
Zinfinity branding on the front.
It's a reminder that we don't become different people when we leave work.
The things we're passionate about shape how we lead.
How we create.
How we inspire others.
The same excitement that fills an arena can also build a business.
More Than Music

Every custom ThunderLab build includes details that are meant for an audience of one.
The personalized shirts.
The hidden references.
The tiny moments that only the recipient immediately understands.
Those details may seem small.
But they're what transform a display into a memory.
The Final Encore

When the lights came on for the first time, the build finally came alive.
Not because of the LEDs.
Not because of the music they represented.
Because it reflected a life filled with passion.
For great music.
For entrepreneurship.
For the people who shared both.
That's what ThunderLab is really about.
Not recreating famous things.
Recreating the things that made someone who they are.
Every Brick Has a Story
The best custom builds don't ask you to choose between your passions.
They remind you that every passion leaves its mark.
Whether it's a classic car...
A beloved pet...
A baseball legacy...
Or the band that provided the soundtrack to your life while you built your own legacy...
Every story deserves an encore.
Because sometimes the loudest memories aren't the ones we hear.
They're the ones we build.
