There are moments in life when words simply aren't enough.
When a beloved dog passes away, we don't just lose a pet. We lose the familiar footsteps that greeted us at the door. The quiet companion who was always there. The one who never judged, never complained, and somehow always knew exactly when we needed a friend.
This ThunderLab build wasn't commissioned to celebrate a milestone.
It was created to honor one.
Meet Flynn
Flynn wasn't "just a dog."

He was a best friend.
When someone close to me lost Flynn, I wanted to create something that would preserve more than a photograph. I wanted to capture the personality, warmth, and unconditional love that only a dog can give.
Instead of building a traditional model, I chose a different approach—a brick mosaic.
Thousands of carefully placed pieces would come together to recreate Flynn's likeness, one brick at a time, just as countless moments together had built a lifetime of memories.
One Brick at a Time
There's something fitting about building a memorial from individual bricks.
From a distance, you see Flynn's face.
Up close, you see thousands of tiny pieces.
It reminds me a lot of our memories.

No single moment defines the relationship. Instead, it's the countless little moments—the walks, the greetings at the door, the quiet evenings on the couch, the games of fetch, the goofy expressions—that come together to create something beautiful.
One memory by itself may seem small.
Together, they become a life.
More Than Wall Art
When the mosaic was complete, it wasn't simply a portrait.
It became a place to remember.
A reminder that while our four-legged friends may only be part of our lives for a chapter, to them we were their entire story.
I hope that every time my friend walks past Flynn's portrait, they don't first think about the day they said goodbye.
I hope they remember the years filled with wagging tails, muddy paws, unconditional love, and the countless moments that made Flynn unforgettable.

If a few tears come with those memories...
I hope even more smiles do.
Why I Build
People often ask what my favorite project has been.
It's impossible to answer.
Some builds celebrate weddings.
Some celebrate first cars.
Some celebrate championships.
And sometimes...
A build helps preserve the memory of someone who can no longer be with us.
Those are the builds that remind me why ThunderLab exists.
Because sometimes the most meaningful stories aren't about what we build.
They're about who we remember.
Every Brick Has a Story
At ThunderLab, every custom creation begins with a story worth telling. Whether it's a beloved pet, a cherished family member, or a once-in-a-lifetime memory, my goal is always the same—to create something that will bring a smile for years to come.
Because memories deserve more than a place in our hearts.
Sometimes they deserve a place on our wall.
